You could
have probably watched Darren Aronofsky’s Rendition of Black Swan starring the
ever gorgeous Natalie Portman and could have been so much amazed how their feet
moves like some boneless majesty while swaying with the tune of the theme Swan
Lake. At some point in time, you were bewildered by the soothing impact of the playing
background music. Then you realized it’s not just Nina and the other ballerina ladies and lads who brought you
goosebumps. So you keep on looking around the entire scene until you spotted
the pianist. Suddenly you’ve noted that it’s that hynotic music from Tchaikovsky’s
Dance of the Swans that gives you the
real creeps. This particular song may sound to be quiet paranoing for some though,
but it definitely is a fuel for wild starving imaginations. Still, do not
bother freaking out because, again, it’s just another simple reminder that the
classics are undeniably movers baby. Movers.
Music,
like any other aspects of life is ever-evolving. And speaking of ever-evolving,
this here evolves superbly. Sing a crazy trendy song today and it’s outdated
the following weeks. It’s quiet hard to update your iPhones, iPods, iPads, mp3
and mp4 players, and whatever gadgets that plays you good music, just to never feel
that O.P. Syndrome or generation gaps.
Talking
about music style are the various genres. But then once in a while, there are
always these particular brand of songs that stay forever in the playlist. These
were once branded as elevator music or theatrical backgrounds. The classical
musics are like time machines, serenading you back to the early centuries of the
past. When grandpa talks about the legendaries like Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn and Brahms to
name a few, better give way because these dudes just never get older.
Provided
or not the basic human necessities, this comfort thing is the one we can’t live
without. Trust me.
EAR YOGA.
After
stressful days from school or work, the classics is your ultimate bestfriend. Regardless
of a particular classical genre you wish to play, It’s so refreshing and
relaxing it won’t interfere your tired ears destructively. Besides, most
classical musics have normal intensity range which is very pleasing to bear.
According to Professor Wilson Buffa, human ears’ capacity can only stand 20cps
to about 40cps (that is cycle/sec) intensity range for limited hours. Listening
to the classics lets you freeze a romantic nostalgia. Forever! Kidding, but
that’s how exaggeratedly you can enjoy it.
LIFESTYLE DOCTOR.
When
someone speaks about veggies and fruits or even workouts, they’re talking about
real health and fitness. However, we’re certainly aware that not every people
in the world is a full pledged green-leafy lover. Yet, nobody wanna go sick.
Who does? So we’re forced to eat healthy. Fortunately, classical musics are
handy if you needed aid with your lifestyle. Apparently, clinical psychologist
Franz Wendtner can attest to that. According to his study, “Listening to music
for about 25 minutes everyday for at least ten days can help prevent back pain
and also make you sleep better.” Such calm and slow
harmony can help relieve muscle pain.
ELITE-LIKE YOU.
Yes,
it sounds weird to play the classics during your BFF field trips especially
when everyone is roaring Katy Perry or Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift, even 1D.
You don’t want to be the party-popper or worse, the joke event center. But
halt! Try to imagine how powerful you can be when they start shutting off all their
playlists once they heard you click ‘play’. Some nerd people actually prove it
factful though naughty. Embrace some falsetto then stare at them, chin up. Feel
more sophisticated and suave with the orchestra backing you up bigtime.
LESS IS MORE.
Here’s
a stereotype of how some young women tend to imagine their ideal romantic partners
– a man loaded with a beautiful soul, a handsome face, extra dollars, and is
mysterious in type. Speaking of mysteriousness, many ladies prefer a man of few
words. That is, someone who’ll win your juicy “Yes!” even almost without saying
a thing. Classical musics are men. It’s not so lyrical fanatic but when the
instrument do the persuasion, it’ll move mountans and giant boulders.
A+ KID.
The
well known Mozart Effect myth has pretty much been critically studied by
different researchers for years. Axford pinpointed the special benefit from
listening to classical musics (especially of Mozart’s) as it provide spatial-temporal reasoning. That is being able to develop
some short-term special skill enhancements on memorization and other related
mental tasks. Surprisingly, it could turn out to be your best mate during
reviews for terror exams.
FILL THE GAP.
Move
–! For most youngsters of the present generation befriending the dub steps,
heavy metals, rock n’ rolls and K-Pops, hearing their dads play the classics is,
voila!, a total alien. But don’t get
too culture shocked. Best to do is sip a warm cup of tea and cuddle under your
thick blanket during a rainy day. Sit back with the elders (pardon me) while being
carried away with the rhythm. It’s an instant bonding privilege, too. You’ll
also fill the generation gap in no time.
MESSAGE CONVEYED.
Again,
it doesn’t say a word or two. But the classics communicates to the soul effortlessly
because it speaks genuine quality. It brings forth the depth of heights with
authenticity. It could be intellectually challenging, yes, we’ve established
that but it guides you to the path on where your musical comprehension is
intended to go. Bear in mind that "a symphony is a story". It knows
moods, possibilities and urges.
See? Told you.
